How to Bounce Back in 2016
So it's official - 2015 is gone and as you reflect now on the year that's past, how was it for you? Maybe it was an exceptionally good year, maybe it wasn't your best year to date or maybe it was somewhere in between. Rest assured as we move into 2016 there are certain things that you can do to make some changes for the better. However, before we talk about that, I have a couple of thoughts about the effectiveness of making New Year’s Resolutions. I apologise in advance if what I'm about to say upsets you but I don't believe in making New Years Resolutions!

Have you ever made a New Year’s Resolution and failed to keep those promises to yourself before the end of January?
Have you ever asked yourself the question “is it ME or is this New Year's Resolution process out dated and ineffective?”
Just for a moment let's take a look at the old way one last time from a linguistic point of view because we like Language!
Here’s what the dictionary has to say:
New [noo, nyoo] adjective, -er, -est, adverb, noun unfamiliar or strange (often fol. by to ): ideas new to us; to visit unfamiliar new places.
Year [yeer] –noun a long period of 365 or 366 days in the Gregorian calendar, divided into 12 calendar months, now reckoned as beginning Jan. 1 and ending Dec. 31 (calendar year or civil year). Compare common year, leap year.
Res•o•lu•tion [rez-uh-loo-shuh n] –noun, (nominalisation, a process frozen in time) the act of resolving or determining upon a possible action or course of action, method, procedure, etc.
The fact is that all too often New Year’s Resolutions are vague or overstated, non specific, unrealistic and seldom followed through on.
It's 2016 and that means Now is the time to do things differently. I think it was Henry Ford that so neatly said, “If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."
